It doesn't matter if you're white, black, Indian, Asian, Christian, Islam, Jewish, Hard Left, Hard Right, Independent, WHATEVER. These are all people who have lives REGARDLESS of social status, and more often than not, they're being mercilessly discriminated if not full-on snuffed out by violence. Not just in the Middle East via terrorists or a blatant lack of decent human rights. There have been reports of people losing their lives in extremely developed nations as well. The riots in Sweden, that terrorist attack in London that happened a month or two back, and the less said about post-election America or ANY death by gunfire, the better. And of course the media, on both sides of politics, keeps on stereotyping and labeling the perpetrators of the incidents representing the whole. "Oh well, Islams attacked us during 9/11, so ALL Islams are bad!" No. Shut the fuck up, you bigoted pieces of shit on a screen. First off, it's been ALMOST SIXTEEN YEARS. If you're gonna constantly get the details wrong about something like you always do, AT LEAST focus on today! Secondly, while Islams WERE the cause of the attacks, BY NO MEANS DOES THAT MAKE ALL ISLAMIC PEOPLE BAD! This is also true for ISIS: while some ARE radical terrorists trying to spread their beliefs that involve a lack of basic human rights, that doesn't mean ALL Middle Easterners are ISIS supporters. If anything, they hate ISIS as much as us, only joining because they A) have crossed the Despair Event Horizon ( tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php… ), or B ) have been OUTRIGHT KIDNAPPED AND FORCED TO JOIN!! Unfortunately, they keep on doing it anyways, and sometimes succeed in brainwashing people with their incredibly-skewed beliefs. "TV rots your brain," you say? If it's CNN or Fox News, then I'm inclined to believe that, given the nonsense they regurgitate on a daily basis!

Look, I'm not trying to insinuate any Flame Wars or "News-reporter-in-training" debates. I'm just trying to say I'm the kind of person who, while impressions may be formed on political/racial/religious background, don't let them make even a SCRATCH on my true beliefs of judging a person on an individual level. It's possible for Arabs to go for extremism, but it's also possible for them to be full-on pacifists, and I wanna make sure who's who. It's possible for black people to be "unstable and prone to violence" (for lack of a better term), but it's also possible for them to be calm and rational people, and I wanna make sure who's who. Good examples are my 11th-grade history teacher, and C.M. Porter (given the time period and current setting) from Bioshock 2. It's possible for whites to be considered heroes for their services, but it's also not just possible, but LIKELY, that whites can also be pretentious racist assholes or the cancer that is an SJW, AND WOMEN CAN ALSO BE THIS, NOT JUST MEN, and I wanna make sure who's who.

It saddens me that mainstream news media cares naught for equality and just vomits up what they'll say to bring in the ratings and income, and Average Joes like Philip DeFranco have to weed through all that nonsense just to get to the true facts and actually do what news media claims they do but doesn't: report completely unbiased news. But it also makes me happy that Avg. Joes like DeFranco are doing this at all so we can look up to people we actually trust in this madhouse of a planet and actually get some decent common sense-filled information.

Please: don't be a racist, an SJW, a bigoted liar, a "fem-nazi," as the Internet calls them, or a pretentious asshole in general. EVERYONE, REGARDLESS OF GENDER, BACKGROUND, BELIEFS, OR WHATEVER, has the potential to become one of these things, which are more often than not the sole thing they're trying to STOP. (Frederick Nietzsche, anyone?) So, if you're going to judge someone, PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF WHATEVER YOU WORSHIP/BELIEVE IN, DO SO ONLY BASED ON PERSONALITY AND PAST ACTIONS! I know that this may SEEM insignificant, due to the sheer amount of bullshit in the world, but I'm doing my part.

There's this story where a young boy, upon seeing starfish constantly on his local beach, kept throwing a starfish back into the ocean to give it a second chance, doing so every time he walked across that beach. Eventually someone came up to him and said something like "Why even bother? There's no way you can save all of them, so what does it matter?" And the boy, just after throwing a starfish back into the ocean, told the other guy "It mattered to THAT one." This is a story that states even if trying to do the right thing is impossible and you can't fully complete the task of helping everyone, try doing your what you can anyways, because it will matter and help to the ones that you DO reach out to. And that's what I'm doing. By no means will I be able to show this to EVERYONE and get them to understand, but I can try anyways and spread this to those that I CAN spread to. And so can you guys.

Say what you want about the game Undertale, but one of the characters, a skeleton named Papyrus, despite his many quirks, honestly does his best to help as much as possible and honestly believes that people can be good if they just try. And just like in the game where you have the choice to enforce or disprove his claims, you also have the chance to do so in real life. You CAN be a pretentious asshole who never listens to anything (regardless of background/gender/whatever), OR you can just clear your head, take a minute to think about things if you were in their situation, and try a new, more understanding procedure. I GUARANTEE that the latter will work MUCH better than the former.

Don't be a shithead. Be like Defranco (reasonable), Papyrus (kind and understanding), or even both if possible. Please. Like "Starfish Boy" implies, it may seem impossible (and sometimes is), but the people you DO treat well will most likely be grateful of your kindness, even if they don't show it.

EDIT: The link below also exemplifies this. The next time you think "All blacks are inferior" or some fucked up thing like that, look at this photo and imagine your OWN self, your OWN family, your OWN friends, and your OWN race stereotyped as unstable and with the status "Shoot to kill if necessary," or yourself in the officer's shoes where one bad move, even if completely unintentional, can get you stripped of your badge, bring shame (if not full-on disownment) to your family, and get you labeled as a racist for the rest of your life with no one believing you all because of one single ACCIDENTAL discharge.

BOTH SIDES have to go through all of that kind of stress/pressure CONSTANTLY.
